Hey, I think that what the country needs now is another civil war. I hate the Jonas Brothers. There, the line's been drawn, pick sides and let's do battle! Posted: Sun, January 25th 2009 3:12 AM #
lol. im torn. i hate the disney-preteen-obsessive-lets-put-my-face-on-everything obsession. for that reason i have never bought anything jonas...i refuse to be a part of it. however, i do enjoy their happy tunes (how can you listen to Lovebug without smiling?)...and theyre pretty darn cute, well the youngest one is :) Posted: Tue, January 27th 2009 7:05 PM #
I agree with Stephanie fullforce! That's exactly how I feel about the Jonas Bros. I hate the craze but I love the happy tunes (especially Lovebug! Thats my favorite!) and I agree that the youngest one is adorable :} Also, I really like they're "Classy" sense of style. But again, the preteen craze is just TOO much. I hate miley cyrus and hannah montana. the jo bros are actually really cute. i like the way they dress most of the time and most of their songs are pretty good. my favorite jonas is the bonus jonas, frank the tank. LOVE HIM!!! and nick. Joe is ok and kevin looks like an elf. eww Posted: Thu, January 29th 2009 10:58 AM #
mkay, well, don't stone me but iiii really dislike the jonas brothers. not gonna lie, i don't think they're lyricist is a very impressive writer...in fact it's pretty predictable. And the music itself is so simple--not to say simple is bad...as long as you carry it out in a classy way. i mean really, mainstream music today is insane. i'm not looking for a symphony, just something a little deeper than, "Baby, who turned the temperature hotter? 'Cause I'm burnin' up, burnin' up for you baby. C'mon girl." Posted: Thu, January 29th 2009 11:07 AM #
I love the Jonas brothers and Hannah Montana. I've been to concerts of both, and those concerts were way more exciting than any other non-preteen-obsessive impressive-lyrics artist's. Posted: Thu, January 29th 2009 5:33 PM #
Ew, Jonas Brothers. Tommy, does that make us secessionists? Because I kind of wanna be... Posted: Thu, January 29th 2009 8:21 PM #
First of all, to answer your question, Laney, Rebel Yell. I've long been awaiting a rebellion that we can be proud of that doesn't involve racism (unless you count preteens.) Second, I'm so glad that this forum discussion has more comments than any of the legitimate ones put up by Ms. Haffley, and I'm sure it would have more if I had titled it "Jonas Brothers." Thirdly (good transition, college board) Mo, you're absolutely right, the lyrics suck. Long live Rock! Long Live the Revolution! God Save Billy Idol, and all other true rockers! Viva Rock! AMEN TOMMY AMEN Posted: Wed, February 4th 2009 11:21 AM #
hah i have to agree with kels and mo on this one, i cant stand them. theyre everywhere. not just in america. everywhere. and its not just little girls and preteens that love them and obsess over them. its kind of ridiculous.. Posted: Thu, February 5th 2009 10:05 PM # |

I love the subtitle of your site!
I am currently teaching Macbeth to sophomores. I find — happily — that they actually enjoy it and get a great deal out of it!

Thanks. And, I’m glad to hear it about Macbeth and your sophomores. Way cool.

This is really cool! How would one install a similar “forum” type program on their blog?

Unfortunately, you’d have to become a “subscriber” to Edublogs to have that feature, which costs some $40 to do. However, becoming a subscriber would also get rid of those nasty ads on your blog, but I do not expect any of you to fork over that dough for class.
